Marylebone Summer Festival returns to Marylebone Village

  • Lifestyle

The Event:

On Saturday 10th June, Paddington Street Gardens hosted a spectacular open-air cinema showing two films, a family-friendly screening of Disney’s Encanto and blockbuster hit Elvis. On Sunday Marylebone Village was pedestrianised to host on-street stalls with fashion and food, funfair rides, a dog show, a photo booth, DJ and roaming entertainment (stilt walkers, bubble artists and jugglers).

This year’s charity partner for the Marylebone Summer Festival was Greenhouse Sports, a Marylebone-based charity that works in partnership with schools in disadvantaged local areas providing high-quality sports coaches to deliver extra-curricular, inspirational coaching and mentoring programmes. All profit from the open-air cinema and money raised from the charity tombola was donated to the cause.

Sister London’s Contribution:

We delivered an integrated digital marketing and PR strategy to promote Marylebone Village and individual retailer activations taking place on the day.

Digital:

The digital team successfully delivered strategies to generate excitement and attract visitors. The team executed an extensive influencer outreach campaign, collaborating with social media influencers to amplify the festival’s reach. Influencers included LondonIsPink (131k), TheSeptemberChronicles (100k), ExploreThePretty (111k) and many more. Through engaging content creation pre and post-event, we effectively communicated the festival across various online platforms. Paid social media advertising further boosted the event’s visibility, ensuring that the target audience was well-informed and enticed to attend. The campaign period saw a substantial 1,088 growth in followers along with an average weekly 143% uplift in social media impressions and a website traffic increase of 138%.

PR:

The PR team executed a pre-event publicity campaign, generating buzz and excitement amongst the local community. We secured press coverage in prominent publications such as ES Magazine, Time Out and Secret London, using their extensive network to highlight the festival’s attractions. Additionally, press were invited to the festival, enabling them to experience and report on the event firsthand.

We celebrated the success of Marylebone Summer Festival and take pride in our pivotal role in shaping the event through PR and digital marketing expertise, creating an enjoyable experience for all who attended!
