Located down a cobblestone alley in Bloomsbury you will find Fortitude Bakehouse. Founded by baker Dee Rettali and Fernandez & Wells co-founder Jorge Fernandez in 2018, Fortitude Bakehouse is famous for its fermentation-forward loaves, cakes and pastries, made with love.

The bakehouse is identifiable by the tall, deep blue doors and the small white sign, plus the crowd gathering outside the front sat on a pair of benches. Fortitude Bakehouse’s cream-filled beignets have been doing the rounds on social media recently and they’re a must-try… if you arrive early enough to get your hands on one!

St John Bakery

Founded by restaurateurs Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver, St. John Bakery was born out of a passion for artisanal baking and a dedication to preserving traditional British recipes. What started as a modest bakery supplying bread to their renowned restaurant, St. John Bar and Restaurant, quickly evolved into a beloved institution in its own right.

Brick Lane Beigel Bake
